Having shot numerous projects on RED’s original REDONE, I’ve always been impressed with its film-like quality, but the new Scarlet’s small size defies its amazing power as a digital filmmaking tool.

 
Capable of shooting 4K REDCODE RAW footage, along with extra features such as HDRx at 2K, Scarlet offers an enormous range of possibilities to any type of film production as either an A-camera, or a fantastic B-camera to a RED EPIC shoot.

While this one arrived in Los Angeles as SCARLET-X #555, my company ESPIONAGE FILMS has christened it as “THE DUKE” as a tribute to Hawaii’s father of surfing, Duke Kahanamoku (pictured right).
